Spread the word about this event:

This children’s and youth leader training will equip and resource leaders and volunteers to better understand the needs of children who have been adopted or are in foster care, enabling them to carry out effective, practical and appropriate ministry.

As Christian families across Nottingham step forward to foster or adopt, we want to ensure our churches are safe and welcoming for all children and young people.

This training is for anyone involved in children’s or youth ministry in any capacity, whether paid or voluntary.

Run by Home for Good trainers as well as a Theraputic Parenting specialist from 100 Homes, the training will equip you…

…to understand why children are in care
…to begin to understand how early life experiences can impact the child or young person, and how the outworking of these can affect behaviour
…to understand how to best support families who foster or adopt
…to begin to explore how the Church can play a significant role in supporting families, so adopted and fostered children and young people can thrive within the church environment

“Very moving and encouraging and really helped us as a team to think of the needs of ALL our children.”

“This was the best training I have been to – thank you Home for Good!”

“Very good training session. Helped to give a better understanding of supporting children in different situations.”

100% of participants in Home for Good’s pilot training said that they would recommend the session to other leaders.

Trent Vineyard has great public transport links with the nearest tram stop of "Gregory Street". There is ample car parking facilities and space to lock your bike.
